Jordan Long

Miss Jordan is a voice and beginning piano instructor who is passionate about helping students build confidence, musical skills, and a lifelong love of music. She completed her Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education at the University of Montevallo in 2025. Through her degree program, she has received extensive training in vocal technique, choral leadership, music pedagogy, and functional piano skills.

Jordan has gained valuable classroom experience through teaching internships at Oak Mountain Middle School and Meadowview Elementary, where she worked with students in choral and general music settings. She has also been actively involved in the University of Montevallo’s music and theater community, serving as Head Conductor for Purple Side, Pit Chorus Director, and Assistant Music Director for Montevallo Children’s Theatre.

In addition to her academic training, Jordan has performed in numerous ensembles and productions, including the University of Montevallo Concert Choir, Opera at Montevallo, and the Alabama Choral Society. Her stage experience includes roles in productions such as Cendrillon and The Elixir of Love.

Jordan is an active member of the Alabama Choral Directors Association and has attended multiple state and regional conferences to continue developing her teaching skills. She has been recognized for her academic and musical achievements with several honors, including the Presser Scholar Award, Senior Elite in Music Education, and induction into Pi Kappa Lambda, the national music honor society.

Jordan enjoys creating a positive, encouraging lesson environment where students can grow musically while developing confidence and creativity.
